SYNERGIES CASTINGS OMAN (‘Synergies Castings Oman LLC’, ‘Synergies Castings LLC’, ‘SCO’, ‘We’, ‘Us’ or ‘Our’,) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals (‘You’, ‘Your’,) with whom it deals and handles personal information it collects and holds in accordance with:
- Electronic Transactions Law promulgated by Royal Decree No: (69/2008); and
- Other Laws and regulations of the Sultanate of Oman related to protection of personal information, including the Personal Data Protection Law promulgated by the Royal Decree No. 6/2022.
This Privacy Policy explains how SCO, in carrying out its functions and activities managing, operating and developing SYNERGIES CASTINGS OMAN collects, uses, discloses and stores Your personal information. - Your driver’s license, passport, or Gate Pass Card (if required), and required information when You access certain IT systems.
- SCO may also collect sensitive information about You. Sensitive information is a subset of personal information and includes information about Your health, race or ethnic origin, membership of a professional or trade organisation and criminal record. We may collect Your sensitive information in certain circumstances, including when You submit a job application or You are involved in an incident at Our site. We will only collect sensitive information from You or about You with Your consent unless otherwise required or authorised by law.
3.When do We collect Your personal information?
SCO collects Your personal information when You contact Us, apply for a job with Us, register with Our website, contribute to one of Our social media pages, enter the site, interact with Us as a customer, stakeholder or contracted service provider, apply for a SCO Gate Pass (if required) or lease or submit a tender for the provision of goods or services.

SCO will collect Your information in a fair and non-intrusive way. Wherever possible, We collect Your personal information directly from You. However, We may also collect personal information about You from someone else in the following circumstances:
- if You are a job applicant, from job referees, academic institutions You attended and through police checks.
- public sources, such as LinkedIn or other service providers.
5.Why do We collect Your personal information and how do We use or disclose it?
SCO collects personal information if it is necessary to carry out its functions and activities in managing, operating, and developing SCO and its business, delivering its facilities and services, and achieving integrated freight transport outcomes, including:
- manage and ensure the safety of Our area;
- ensure safe landside transport.
- provide storage, terminal facilities, loading and unloading activities, and other incidental activities.
- communicate with the community, government, and other stakeholders about its work and SCO projects.
- to comply with its reporting requirements or other legal requirements in Sohar Industrial Area.
6.Can You choose to remain anonymous when dealing with Us?
You may elect not to identify yourself or You may use a pseudonym in Your dealings with Us, except where it is impracticable for Us to deal with You on this basis. SCO will always allow You to remain anonymous where it is practicable and lawful to do so.
However, there will be circumstances in which it will not be possible for SCO to interact with You anonymously, such as in complying with its legal obligations, when investigating incidents at SCO or complaints, issuing infringement notices under any applicable law or considering Your application for employment or tender or for any other services or activities.

- 7.1 We will comply with the Electronic Transaction Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. (69/2008) and other laws of the Sultanate of Oman related to the protection of personal information, including the Personal Data Protection Law promulgated by the Royal Decree No. 6/2022.
- 7.2 Any personal information collected from You may be retained by Us and deals with, as set out in these terms.
- 7.3 We will use any information We collect from You or You submit to Us, which identifies You only for the purpose for which it is collected or submitted, including contacting You to verify Your application or tender, and We will not use it for any other purpose or supply it to any third party except as required by law, authorised by You or set out in these Terms.
- 7.4 SCO may disclose Your personal information (including, in certain limited circumstances, Your sensitive information) to:
- its third party service providers, agents, and contractors who provide financial, legal, and administrative;
- or other services in connection with the operation of SCO business, for example, mailing houses; software developers, IT maintenance providers, and lawyers;
- its related companies and affiliates; and
- the Sultanate of Oman government departments, agencies and regulators.
Information provided to the above parties will be done on a confidential basis.
- Generally, SCO only discloses personal information overseas if it is necessary to carry out its functions and activities. Personal information that You provide to Us via online survey tools such as Google Surveys is stored by the relevant third party survey provider who may hold Your personal information overseas.
8.Do We use and disclose Your personal information for direct marketing activities?
We may use and disclose Your personal information in order to contact You about Our services and projects that We think may be relevant to You.

If We refuse You access to Your personal information, We will provide You with Our decision and how You complain if You are not satisfied with Our decision.
If You think that any personal information We hold about You is inaccurate, incomplete, out-of-date or irrelevant, You may ask Us to correct it. We will take reasonable steps to correct it unless We disagree with Your reasons. If We refuse to correct Your personal information, We will provide You with an explanation for Our decision.

If We are unable to satisfactorily resolve Your concerns about Our handling of Your personal information or if Your Complaint cannot be resolved, the courts of the Sultanate of Oman shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the Terms or its subject matter under the Sultanate of Oman laws which governs these Terms.
